Why I am an Atheist: This book is a collection of over Twenty-Five of his writings from within the walls of prison and outside it, which show us the resolve in his words, and the bravery in his acts subsequently.
Annihilation of Caste: ‘Annihilation of Caste’ is a thought-provoking and revolutionary work by Dr B R Ambedkar, one of the most influential figures in Indian history. Originally written as a speech for a conference in 1936, The Book challenges the deep-rooted caste system in India and the social hierarchy it creates. Dr Ambedkar argues that the caste system perpetuates social and economic inequality, and impedes progress and growth for the nation as a whole. He presents a compelling case for the annihilation of caste and the creation of a society based on principles of equality and justice.
Nationalism: “Their real freedom is not within the boundaries of security, but in the highroad of adventures, full of the risk of new experiences.”
A compendium of lectures delivered by Tagore during the First World War and the Swadeshi movement in India, Nationalism emphasizes Tagore’s political and philosophical views on human understanding and its weakness for power and material hoardings. Packed with erudition and analysis, it expounds the idea of a moral and spiritual growth for human welfare. the lectures—written in a lucid, metaphoric, poetic prose—are loaded with a piercing vision of the future and are a critique on his views on spirituality and humanity.
Nationalism brings to fore Tagore’s deep understanding of contemporary politics and paves a middle path between growth of the people and a nation, and aggressive ways towards modernity.
The Communist Manifesto:Originally the Manifesto of the Communist Party (German: Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei), is an 1848 pamphlet by German philosophers Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Commissioned by the Communist League and originally published in London just as the Revolutions of 1848 began to erupt, the Manifesto was later recognised as one of the world's most influential political documents.
