Shivaji And His Times: This book recounts the life and times of one of Maharashtra's
greatest heroes. The author has extensively researched the subject and presents a
comprehensive analysis of Shivaji's life, his battles, his political strategies, and his legacy. The
book begins with an introduction to the political and social conditions in India during the 17th
century, which sets the context for Shivaji's rise to power.

Shivaji And His Times is a valuable resource for anyone interested in Indian history,
particularly the history of the Maratha Empire.
Military History of India: The Book covers the history of the military in the Indian
subcontinent before the precolonial era. The text introduces the geographical aspects in setting
up the militaristic approaches for campaigns in various battles and conquest of territories.
The main part of this book deals with the history of foreign invasions in India. The author
begins with the history of Greek invasions in ancient India, which is the classical military
conflict between Alexander and Porus. It also covers the strategical tactics adopted. However,
the greater part of this book deals with the Islamic invasions in India beginning with
Muhammad Ghori’s campaign and the military stratagems adopted by the Sultans of Delhi. It
covers the Mughal invasion with the first battle of Panipat in 1526 against Ibrahim Lodi and the
successive battles by the Mughal successors. The final part deals with the war of succession by
Shah Jahan’s sons, warfare under the Nizams of Hyderabad, and the military account under the
Maratha rule.
India Through The Ages: This volume comprises a series of lectures delivered by Prof.
Jadunath Sarkar. It is a lucid survey of the growth of Indian life and thought from the Vedic age
to our own times with a detailed study of contributions of the Aryans, the Buddhists, the
Muhammadans and the English to the growth of Indian civilizations.
The book gives us a bird’s eye-view of the successive factors which have contributed to the
composite development of present-day India.
Mughal Administration: Mughal Administration provides a complete treatise on the
administrative system of the Mughal empire, its theory and practice, its root principles and
aims, and their effect in actual operation.
Nadir Shah in India: Jadunath Sakar delivered six lectures on Nadir Shah in 1922. These were
composed and rearranged in three chapters taking the shape of this work.
First chapter examines the internal condition of India in 1738 and the rise and progress of
Nadir Shah. Second chapter covers the capture of Peshawar and Lahore and the invasion of
India. The last chapter deals with Nadir Shah in Delhi and the state of India after Nadir Shah’s
departure.
This small and handy work is a marvelous piece of research on Nadir’s adventure in India.
